Step 2: Create or Import a Wallet

When you open the extension for the first time, you’ll have two choices: Create a new wallet or Import an existing wallet. If you’re new, choose the first option. The extension will generate a secure recovery phrase (also called a seed phrase).

Important: Write this phrase down and keep it offline in a safe place. Never share it with anyone.

Step 3: Fund Your Wallet

To use dApps or trade tokens, you’ll need to fund your wallet. You can transfer crypto from Coinbase mobile app or any other wallet by copying your wallet address from the extension and pasting it as the recipient address when sending funds.

You can also purchase crypto directly inside the extension using integrated partners.

Once connected, you can trade, swap tokens, or even mint NFTs.

Step 5: Manage Security

Security is the cornerstone of Web3. Ensure you enable password protection for your extension. Consider connecting a hardware wallet for maximum security. Always verify sites before connecting, and be wary of phishing attempts.

Remember: Coinbase cannot recover your wallet if you lose your recovery phrase. It’s your ultimate key.
